Pros

If you fresh in the security scene you can probably get a job.

Cons

- Below industry salary averages for most positions. - Diversity in leadership is embarrassingly lacking. - Main product (ARMED) is a glorified compliance checklist, one can build nearly the same insight with publicly available checklists off the internet and Microsoft Excel. - Organic clients for main product is rare, many clients mainly seek a MDR solution, placing undue stress on an underdeveloped and short staffed security operations service and team. Product set is the epitome of "over sell, under deliver". - All the positive reviews on Glassdoor are fake, requested by leadership - Leadership requiring technical operations to be based in Nashville to no advantage other than President wanting to live there; company struggles to find talent willing to be based in Nashville; would rather suffer than drop requirement. Senior leadership is seemingly exempt and are mainly remote. - President is a delusional narcissist - brags about pilot training and writing a book while dedicated employees struggle to have a healthy work life balance. His book would be a New York Times best seller if it was about nepotism.

Pros

The opportunity to work alongside many fine colleagues was the main highlight of my time there. There was definitely work to be done and opportunities to be had.

Cons

I do wish I had read and took previous posts more seriously. A lot of the more negative posts were spot on. I encountered several challenges. One of the primary concerns was the leadership approach, which often felt disconnected and lacked clear organization. This contributed to a sense of disarray among team members. A more cohesive and transparent leadership approach could significantly enhance team morale and productivity. Additionally, the workplace culture occasionally did not uphold the professional respect expected in a conducive work environment, particularly towards engineers. Creating a culture of mutual respect and appreciation is crucial for fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Furthermore, the absence of clear goals and structured delegation of tasks often led to confusion and inefficiency. Implementing clear, achievable objectives and communicating these effectively to all team members would likely result in improved organizational performance and employee satisfaction. Another area for potential improvement is the review and feedback mechanisms. The management team might benefit from more proactive engagement with employee feedback and online reviews. This engagement could offer valuable insights into the employee experience and highlight areas for improvement. Lastly, enhancing the sense of purpose within the company can greatly contribute to job fulfillment. Ensuring that every team member understands how their work contributes to the company's broader goals can foster a more engaged and motivated workforce.
