Connection Response

As evident in our earned time policy, Connection recognizes the value of time away from work. As a result, having a set schedule allows our employees the ability to plan or simply experience life outside of work. When you are in the office, we are pleased that you find the temperature agreeable. Managers are encouraged to exhibit high standards of professional behavior and conduct at all times. It is our desire that managers capitalize on the diverse talents of all team members. By encouraging full participation from the team, a manager will develop team harmony and achieve results. It’s important that employees are made aware of their importance to the organization and that their contributions are valued and recognized. Since you feel favoritism is at play and your efforts aren’t being recognized, it may be beneficial for you to schedule a meeting with your manager to share your observations and your motivators. You are encouraged to contact your HR Business Partner if you require assistance on having a constructive conversation with your manager. Thank you for your contributions to Connection.

Pros

-Remote work -PTO given to you upfront along with freebie days to use -People tend to be more collaborative than not -You get to work with a lot of different vendors so if you can build a solid relationship with an account, you can sell all sorts of different things to them

Cons

-Terrible pay -CallBack is trash and we all wasted way more time on it than we should -Outdated mentalities from managers and coaches. For example, manager told me to call someone 2-3 times a day and then again the following day. This is literally how you get blocked -Sales coach functions too much like a 2nd manager when they should be a side character at best. Call monitoring, business development, deal progression tips & assisting with internal procedures should be their only responsibilities. They should not have the power to approve quotes, demand thorough explanation for wishing to drop account(s), or pass out inbound leads for example.
