A small, growing bank that has individuals who have been there from the beginning heading major positions, but are not qualified to do so. There are A LOT of Chiefs at the top beating the drum of their own tune and unwilling to change their ways to better the organization if it means them having to change. You will witness lending deals where a customer's name and status dictate what is written in a loan, what is left out or what is fluffed up. Very unethical wheeling and dealing. There is enormous favoritism among customer's and what gets done or what doesn't based upon their reputation/status/stake in the surrounding towns/ what family they are associated to, etc. Same holds true internally. There are a lot of things behind the scenes that are plain wrong, unethical and nothing is confidential. This is anything but a better place to be. ConnectOne is the deceptive place to be. Smoke and mirrors.
