Pros

-Clear expectations and company-wide goals -Freedom to creatively align department goals with company strategic goals -Great people, fun, supportive culture -Consistent, genuine communication (really transparent people) -Ability to grow professionally and to move into leadership roles -Highly competitive product in the Cloud Contact Center marketplace -Very skilled developers, systems, support, client services, finance, sales, marketing, biz dev and executive teams working towards a common goal -Great benefits including: stock options, really good insurance, pet insurance, gym (Thrivepass) membership, bonuses, competitive pay, company lunches, parties, kart racing, game nights -Your choice Mac/PC, BYOD optional -Showers for us commuting cyclists

Cons

-The culture of performance means you will hit burnout at some point if not several points. Fortunately, the team is supportive to help the process of facing the burn, stepping back, making a plan and acting towards getting back on pace. -A rapidly growing company means constant shifts in roles and addition of new departments, processes and solutions. (Either a Pro or a Con depending on what you think)

Pros

I worked as a consultant for Connect First before joining their motley crew watching some immense, business-altering (and culture redirection) interactions happen - hence a big reason why I joined. The good news is, each decision after August of 2016 was made with significant intention to address the known dysfunctions - gender bias included - and from that point forward made the right decisions to improve *everything*. A big part of that was manifesting change that comes from employee feedback, new leadership that is positive and pro-active, actions that honor the culture, and more transparency as to the roadmap of the future - particularly how everyone plays a part in getting there. They've since hired a variety of people that embody their dedication to change, from more diversity and equality in the workplace - to women in leadership, so that's really promising. Another Pro is that everyone cares about the well-being of everyone else. That core attribute of caring is a big driver in how they hire, too. No more self-serving individuals that are out on their own making decisions without the understanding of the affects on the rest of the company. Needless to say, progress is being made and the traction is significant.

Cons

Just the natural limitations that come from running lean, mean and wearing lots of hats. There are plans for great (big) things that are progressing along, but you definitely feel the occasional burst of work that can be overwhelming at moments, but nothing that doesn't resolve itself. Not really a con, but if you're not comfortable with quick (and lots of) change and thinking on your feet, this is probably not the right company for you.
