Pros

- Coworkers are friendly and competent at their jobs, including managers - No mandatory overtime and very minimal crunch or putting out fires - Can easily use time off with very little judgment or argument - Managers allow devs to self-direct and do not try to micromanage - Room to get your feet wet with languages/technologies you're not already familiar with - Open to remote work

Cons

- Corporate refuses to give any raises or promotions at all. The only way you might get a raise is by getting an offer from another company and fishing for a counter-offer, and you aren't getting a promotion ever. - No bonuses or stock options or anything besides your base salary - Health insurance options are so bad it's arguably better to just opt out and pay for your doctors out-of-pocket - Company VPN is horrifically slow and authentication changes can come with no warning and kick you out for a day or more - Chronically understaffed technical help desk takes ages to resolve things like firewall issues and account problems

Pros

Job as described. This company is a contracting company pretty much and through them I was working for Humana. It was straight forward and as described, but the training Humana provided was a bit hectic and intense, and people were quitting left and right because of how much anxiety it caused.

Cons

High anxiety training environment that felt like we weren't fully equipped to do the job. Not having the freedom to get up and away from your desk unless you were specifically on a break. Automatic answering phones.
