Work from home, depending on department, leadership, and position.

They continue to promote how well the company is doing financially, yet when employees seek promotions or raises, there is no funding for it. I struggled to keep valuable and highly skilled people because Conduent would rather have them walk out the door, to be replaced with higher cost people, than pay them the market salary that Conduent will pay new hires. Their HR rules for promotions are so outdated and not employee-friendly. If you want to grow your career (or your salary) you have to go elsewhere. They treat every business like it's a call center, and every employee as replaceable. Unfortunately, even the change in leadership won't save this sinking ship.

Pros

Paid on time, provided equipment, decent benefits from day one, nice co-workers

Cons

Sweatshop mentality of the supervisors, threats of demotion/termination for medical leave, random layoffs when calls didn't justify hours, with those same hours shifted to supervisors to keep them active. Unable to print paystubs, had to request everything through a supervisor, and provide copious amounts of private information to have the request honored. Corrosive environment - I left as soon as I got another offer, gave 24 hours notice (and I've never, ever done that before). Unless you're on the verge of homelessness or starvation, avoid at all costs.
