Pros

This is a good place to work. It’s relaxed and unconventional surroundings would be a welcome relief to anyone who has worked for a stuffy downtown firm. You can indeed bring your dog to work, or cat, or turtle, and that’s nice to know. You can wear a T-shirt and not have to pretend you would be more comfortable wearing a tie. The office is located on Aurora Ave North, which should pretty much tell you all you need to know, but it’s fairly easy getting in the out of here, all things considered. You can make your own schedule as long as you get your work done. That seems reasonable to me. A job is a job. Don’t take yourself too seriously. If you can do that, there is work for you here.

Cons

I have been employed at this firm for over 5 years, full-time, and unlike some reviews, I am actually on the staff, and not an attorney, or office professional, with any desire to make myself look good for the betterment of the firm or myself. The firm does indeed have a history of disgruntled employees, both attorneys and staff, who have tried to make a difference and improve the conditions of the firm as a working environment with varying degrees or success and failure. Some are gone, but some are still working here full-time trying to make a difference and hopefully prove that a job does not have to be unpleasant, even when working for attorneys. Let’s be honest, if you are reading this and looking for work in the legal arena, or have worked for attorneys at all in the past, you probably know what I am talking about, or should by now. If you are an attorney reading this and looking for work, be aware that entitlement will get you nowhere. If you can acknowledge that you need help, the staff will help you and respect you. Respect is a two-way road. Be nice.

Pros

I have been a practicing attorney for over 6 years now and truly appreciate this firm's approach to newly hired employees. Unlike other offices I have worked for which tend to train new-hires in the trial by fire method, Condo Law Group progressively educates its employees and the friendly staff is happy to answer any questions along the way; this prevents workers from feeling on their own or overwhelmed which can be very common in the legal profession. Also, work-life balance is a high priority for management, accommodations and employee needs are never ignored. The office provides excellent benefits as well as snacks/food and in-office massages twice a month; all of which instill that this is a firm that cares about the well-being of its employees. Unlike other offices where you start to feel anxious about the work week Sunday night, Condo Law Group provides a harmonious, amicable environment where no employee dreads coming to work Monday morning.

Cons

The evening commute towards downtown can be rough come 5 pm, however, the office allows for flexibility so if employees needs to come in and leave early for traffic reasons, this can usually be worked out.
