Pros

Competitive salary Flexible working setup Approachable and supportive team members Smooth and efficient hiring process Good working environment overall

Cons

“Flexible time” often results in extended working hours with no clear boundaries No proper structure for time-in and time-out; overtime is frequent but difficult to get approved Lack of transparency regarding benefits (e.g., 13th month pay was not clearly communicated upfront and later made conditional) They kept explaining that benefits like the 13th month pay were based on company performance or contractor status, but this was not clearly communicated from the beginning. It created false expectations for employees. Overpromising to employees and candidates, leading to misaligned expectations Poor coordination when transitioning to client interviews (last-minute scheduling, lack of proper notice or preparation) Inconsistent handling and communication with candidates

Thank you for your feedback and for recognizing our competitive compensation, flexible setup, and supportive team culture—these are core strengths we intentionally maintain. As a remote, client-driven organization, flexibility is designed to empower team members while also aligning with client needs across time zones. This can sometimes blur boundaries, but it also enables autonomy and global collaboration. We continuously work on improving structure around time tracking, workload management, and approval processes to create better balance and clarity. Regarding benefits and communication, our policies evolve as the company grows to ensure sustainability and fairness across different engagement types. While this may not always be experienced consistently, our intent is to align rewards with both individual contribution and overall business performance. We also acknowledge that as we scale, coordination and communication especially in hiring and client transitions require ongoing refinement. These are active areas of improvement as we strengthen processes and leadership alignment. Concertina remains committed to building a transparent, flexible, and growth-oriented workplace that balances opportunity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Pros

13th month and HMO.. Although I heard they converted the 13th month to a bonus so if the company doesn't perform well, they can just opt not giving that out anymore.

Cons

At first, this company actually seemed promising. The hiring process gave the impression that this was a decent place to work and that your role would matter. That changed fast once higher management shifted. Now it just feels like a toxic BPO pretending not to be one. You’re made to feel like your contributions to the client don’t really matter, especially when management keeps trying to push and sell other services to the same client you’re already supporting. It makes your actual work feel disposable and obsolete, like what you do only matters until they find another way to squeeze more money out of the account. Instead of building real value or respecting the people doing the work, it feels like the focus is just on milking the client for as much as possible. That kind of environment kills morale fast. You stop feeling like a professional and start feeling like a replaceable cog in a company that only cares about revenue. They also talk a lot about work-life balance and flexible hours, but that feels misleading when you’re really just expected to follow the client’s schedule. For a company that markets itself as having experts, employees are treated more like they’re there to adjust to every client demand rather than work with any real autonomy.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate your recognition of the benefits provided, and we also want to offer important context around how Concertina operates. Concertina is built around long-term client partnerships, high-quality service, and opportunities for our team to grow with the business. In a client-driven environment, schedules, scope, and service expansion are sometimes shaped by client needs and evolving business priorities. This is not about reducing the value of individual contributions, but about ensuring sustainability, strengthening client relationships, and creating continued opportunities for both the company and its team members. Our flexible work model is designed to balance team member autonomy with the realities of supporting clients across different markets and time zones. While client alignment can require adaptability, it is also a key part of maintaining trust, responsiveness, and strong professional standards. We understand that not every experience will feel the same, but Concertina remains committed to building a workplace that values professionalism, growth, flexibility, and meaningful client impact while continuously improving how we support our people.

Pros

100% WFH and higher pay than other WFH CSR

Cons

I’ve been with the company for quite a while now, currently working in Operations and Management, and honestly, it’s been frustrating. Over time, my role has expanded way beyond operations. Other than operations, I also do hiring, supporting higher management with admin tasks, and basically wearing multiple hats on a daily basis. The workload keeps growing, but the recognition and compensation don’t match. No 13th month pay nor performance bonus and that’s really disappointing, especially considering the amount of work and responsibility I carry. It doesn’t feel aligned with the effort being put in. What’s even more discouraging is knowing that there are people earning more, even when I know I’m doing more or taking on bigger responsibilities. It makes me question how the company really values its employees. Given the workload and contributions, I genuinely feel like I should have been promoted by now but that hasn’t happened. In fact it was supposed to happen but for some odd reason, it didn’t push through. On top of that, support from management is lacking, which makes things even harder. Overall, it just feels like no matter how much I give, it’s never enough. I’m never valued as an employee with a very critical role in the company.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate the recognition of Concertina’s fully remote setup and competitive pay, which reflect our commitment to offering flexibility and meaningful opportunities in a work-from-home environment. As the company grows, some roles naturally expand to meet evolving business and client needs, especially in operations and management where cross-functional support is often essential. While this can be demanding, it also reflects the trust placed in team members to contribute beyond a narrow scope and play an important role in the company’s growth. Decisions around compensation, promotions, and rewards are made with consideration for business sustainability, performance, and organizational priorities—not only workload volume alone. We understand that growth can sometimes feel challenging, and feedback like this is valuable. Concertina remains committed to improving clarity, support, and development opportunities while continuing to build a flexible, high-accountability, and growth-oriented workplace.
