Pros

The company gave me a chance when I was struggling to find work and were very patient with me. We had our highs and lows, but never felt like I was thrown under the bus like previous hospitality jobs. Initially I wasn't very excited but made the best of it by putting in max effort. As a result, I developed exceptional interpersonal skills with many types of guests and it taught me to deal with a number of situations I would not have otherwise experienced. Many guests also appreciated it too. I honestly believe most people should work in this type of environment, like some retail jobs, to develop long term interpersonal skills. If you show initiative and drive they will teach and give you more responsibility. The owners were also very welcoming and Maria in HR is a sweetheart. Lindo is also a very spry, engaging and fair man.

Cons

Really, not a bad place to work and doesn't have anything in particular that other names in hospitality don't deal with. Some coworkers may make the job difficult, but was not the case at my primary property and mostly occurred years prior. If you have some tough skin and don't take things personally then you don't have to worry about being fired (COVID kinda changed that, but hospitality as an industry was hit real hard so nothing personal). There is quite a push for reviews on certain websites, but this is the case most anywhere you go and is small business owned so they are trying to stay afloat. In N Out paid more with less responsibility a few blocks away, but they have more capital and exist in a completely different industry.
