Pros

Benefits are okay Pay is decent Some projects are quite interesting You won't have to worry about keeping up to date on modern tech trends to work here - this company is perfect for people who learned Java once and don't care to learn any more.

Cons

Compusult develops as if it were the mid 90s - they still use HTML tables for layout! They don't use dependency management, frameworks, or even CSS libraries. They have the worst case of Not Built Here Syndrome I've ever seen. I can't recommend working here if you have a desire to work at fast-paced, influential companies, as Compusult will not prepare you for that. In fact, the bad habits and deprecated practices you'll learn there may even be detrimental.

Pros

Overtime is paid if under a certain threshold. People are kind. (Other than a couple people in management) Benefits Pizza Day every month Sometimes has events for staff

Cons

No communication between managers so it’s hard to know the right direction to head in. You may often be doing nothing until a deadline needs to be met. It seems the management likes working under pressure so that’s how it always is. They will ask you to do a LOT of overtime to meet the deadline. Possibly working without a weekend for weeks. You aren’t required to work on the weekend by law, but they will hold it over your head for raises, time off, etc. You aren’t updated on the projects you’ve been working on until they’re ready to tell you. You could still be working on the project when it was already cancelled weeks ago but no one will tell you. Hard to get answers for anything. Managers will send you to other workers to answer your question or give you an answer, while another manager has a different answer.
