Pros

Pro about working for Compassus Hospice The most rewarding aspect of working at Compassus Hospice was the people — from the patients to the volunteers and interns. I deeply enjoyed spending time with each patient, planning meaningful activities, and celebrating their birthdays to make them feel valued and remembered. Building those personal connections and creating moments of comfort and joy was truly the highlight of my role.

Cons

Cons about working for Compassus Hospice Unfortunately, I experienced significant challenges during my time there. I faced racism and passive aggressiveness directed toward Black women, which was extremely difficult and ultimately led me to counseling after my resignation. Leadership was poor, with frequent micromanagement and a lack of accountability. My concerns were consistently dismissed, and I received pushback both from new management and from employees who formed cliques under that leadership. I was also subjected to inappropriate and hurtful comments directly to my face, which created a hostile and unsupportive work environment. From my disability to my beliefs, all was not taking seriously.
