Pros
You could be on fire. Seriously though, the upper management does a lot to help their employees. I have (almost) nothing but good things to say about them. They are genuinely decent people who are doing their best to run a company that has stiff competition. There are many decent friendly people who work in the shop.
Cons
Look. There are jerks everywhere. No matter where you work there's always going to be people who thrive on conflict and making others look or feel bad. Somehow the jerks took over the shop. I don't know how it happened, but several key positions are staffed by, well, jerks. I've been in a few shops and on a few contractor crews over the years and never in my life have I worked under people who were so consistently and reliably undermining the people they managed or people in other departments in order to make themselves look better. Over, and over, and over again. Normally this type of behavior gets weeded out Lord of The Flies style pretty quickly, but not here. For some reason the upper management either ignores it or is unaware. Not sure which would be worse. Oh, and good luck getting a promotion. In the five years I was there I saw two people get promoted, one of which was me. Actually scratch that, I really moved laterally.
