Pros
-no nights or weekends; never on call -no external emails -working directly with children and youth -great opportunities to learn and grow as a clinician -fun staff who has a heart for this work -supervision (individual and group provided) -access to a variety of free CEUs -opportunities for promotions in your specific role or to move to other roles
Cons
-sometimes the "Center of Excellence" pushes forth new practices before providing staff with much training or proper tools/curriculum -in busy season (most of the year except for summer), there is very little time to prep for the groups you'll be facilitating. you just have to show up and do it. -this isn't necessarily a con, but you must be willing/able to go with the flow because so much happens and changes so quickly
