Pros
Easy going, fun, flexible, independent area to work ( most days if you are an introvert) and customers are awesome. Decent health benefits.
Cons
Dishonesty of management. Upon hiring, you don't know if you are taking a permanent full time position or replacing a 'FMLA person'. Unfortunately, they will never tell you during the interview. I have been working there for over 5 months faithfully and this manager at the international building told me short notice I am being transferred to some other position with unknown hours and pay. She told me an employee who was working there several months ago was coming back to her barista position from a Family Leave of Absence ( FMLA). The thing is...it is rightful for this employee to go back to their position based on labor law(s), but to never inform the 'now' hired employee at interview about this situation and or on the job application is totally dishonest. This should have been a temporary position and I would have respected that but no, the boss put it as FULLTIME. Also, the manager basically shared all this to me on my last day and told me she had no idea about it lol. I had to sit down and think what just happened and when I did, that is when I realized my old manager knew all along what was present. She was trying to cover up herself, her mistake and lied to my face she had no idea what was going on. She is either really dumb or evil with her passive aggressive attitude which is very cruel. To however wants this job, be careful and please ask at the beginning of the interview am I fulfilling a position for a coworker on FMLA . Very important you ask because they will never tell you this at an interview if they don't want to share. You don't want to waste your time if they can't answer this. I would run though if I were you if you want a full time position here. There is no guarantee you will even be there past 6 months and you need your health insurance. They are constantly firing or laying off from what I heard from a former coworker.
