Pros

- Flexible scheduling - Laptop and headset provided - Some brands offer discounts for Compass employees

Cons

Over the past year Compass has consistently increased revenue while making the day to day lives of regular employees more frustrating. In the fall of 2020 as a new CEO stepped in it was announced that the company had doubled revenue from pre-pandemic levels, and starting pay would be increased by a dollar. However, raises would now only be available if you were promoted into a new position and would not be available based on performance or time with the company. With hundreds of employees across a couple dozen brands, new opportunities are scarce and competitive so new employees should likely expect to stay at starting pay for their time with Compass. A healthcare plan, while not exceptional, was announced however there are no other perks like performance bonuses, meal vouchers, or internet stipends that similar companies offer. Many of the pre-pandemic leadership team has left and outside hires replaced them, meaning that management is by and large out of touch with the employees they oversee. Overall Compass is an ok short term or first job, but other local companies will pay and respect you more to do the same work.

Pros

Compass Experience Labs is a company that truly invests in its people. The culture here fosters continuous growth and development, with leadership actively supporting employees in expanding their skills and advancing their careers. There’s a strong emphasis on mentorship, training, and opportunities to take on new challenges. Recognition is another standout aspect—hard work and achievements don’t go unnoticed. Whether through formal awards, performance incentives, or just day-to-day appreciation from leadership, it’s clear that employees are valued and rewarded for their contributions. Collaboration and innovation are at the heart of everything. Teams work together seamlessly, exchanging ideas and pushing boundaries to improve both employee and customer experiences. Leadership is open to fresh perspectives, and there’s a real sense of teamwork in tackling challenges and driving meaningful change.

Cons

I don't really have any "Cons" to share however, I will say that with a strong focus on performance, there’s a high bar for results. While rewarding for ambitious employees, it can sometimes feel demanding for those who struggle to raise the bar.
