Pros
- Great team members - opportunities to visit various sites - interesting work that creates huge impact - RRSP matching
Cons
- mediocre pay, and benefits package but they expect the world from you, so it really kills your motivation - promotions are based on obvious favouritism. Someone who barely works or share their works with others can be promoted to a lead - leadership is run by a bunch of confused individuals that make ridiculous and unrealistic goals with the reasoning of "aiming higher is better"... then theres the execs above those leaders that get on your case about why the goals aren't met - leadership can never make up their minds about their strategy - Roadmapping is difficult because none of the leaders actually know what they're doing. Everyone else knows but they don't and they're the ones that need to approve it. - leaders are always chasing after shiny new tech trends without fully understanding any of them - forced company culture development: Work is not my family. Stop forcing it. - Lack of communication with other teams. Cross functional collaboration is encouraged but nobody has the motivation to be present (literally and mentally)
