Pros

You'll be grateful after quitting.

Cons

AVOID THIS AGENCY Employees are poorly trained and supervised. There is a "restraint room" where children are taken daily and restrained if they misbehave. The BST and PSR providers who work there have no idea how to actually interact with children or deescalate situations without restraining the kids. Company is cheap, workers are underpaid, new equipment or teaching aids are never purchased. They even refused to replace a tire with a huge bump on it on the van used for transport. Compass is a glorified babysitting agency that sucks money from Medicaid. Children are restrained instead of taught. The company **does more damage than good** for children who already go through so much trauma at home. Most workers are new to the field, which is really worrisome. I hope everyone who has come through here knows that this is NOT how behavioral therapy should be done. It's a dangerous introduction to working in mental health. This is a terrible agency and an awful place to work. Everyone who actually cares about children and provided quality services figures this out and doesn't stick around very long. Work here and you'll be embarrassed to even put CBH on your resume.

Pros

Gratifying to work with so many bright clients and have a positive impact.

Cons

Leadership doesn't care about the welfare of kids. Archaic practices of physically restraining kids in a back room. Middle management is young and unexperienced. This is a really terrible place and it teaches new graduates all of the wrong ways to work in mental health.
