Upper management is clearly out for themselves and will do whatever it takes to protect their own. While this is an exciting industry, the lack of transparency to the rest of the organization is incredibly concerning. The company is more concerned with your "interest" in the industry rather than the actual results you've been able to contribute, which is just ridiculous. My advice? Believe half of what people tell you and 100% of what you see.
