Pros
Credit unions are a good business model 401k has a good match Paid volunteer time is a nice benefit Employee events
Cons
The culture here is very politicized (who you align with has a big impact) and hearsay tends to hold a lot of weight, whereas validating it, doesn’t. Something, or someone, can be talked about and depending on who says it, it has a lot of influence, even if distorted or just flat out untrue. There’s been a lot of change at the leadership level without much communication, including to those whose groups are impacted. Employees don’t feel valued when communicating with them feels like an after thought. I don’t know what’s going on in HR, but the Chief People Officer has turned over that group twice in the last couple of years and two directors and a manager just recently left. It’s surprising so much turnover can happen in a group without looking at the person who leads it. Not holding a senior leader accountable sends a terrible message to the rest of the organization. I would hope the CEO and the rest of the senior leadership team have read all of the results from the BPTW surveys from the last couple of years - listen to your employees. There has been a shift the last few years that needs to be turned.
