-Some great physicians and nurses -Good experience working with severe mental illness -Some coworkers were excellent to work with -Fast-paced job -Significant improvements to Emergency Department during the time I worked there
Cons
-Unrealistic expectations -Poor communication within and between departments -Conflict between various departments of the hospital -Staff in physical danger due to poorly staffed security and policies regarding aggressive and agitated patients -High stress environment -Over-focus on number of admissions rather than appropriate patient care -Stringent rules on punctuality -Staff can be reprimanded/punished for using sick days -High turnover in behavioral health departments -RN staff valued higher than master's-level clinicians
