Pros

Good pay, benefits, and staffing is good.

Cons

The holiday rotation is unfair especially if you’re not considered a “senior” nurse. There’s no rotation so you end up working Christmas, 4th of July etc.. multiple years in a row. You get floated almost every other week sometimes every week because “seniors” don’t have to float. Micromanaging is the worst I’ve ever experienced in the hospital. Favoritism is very obvious

Pros

Flexible schedule, work from home, no weekends.

Cons

Pay increases annually are minuscule and insulting if you qualify for it. The pay range for the job description currently is $18-$31/hr, however an employee who has been working in this role for 25+ years doesn't even make the highest amount so it seems pretty unattainable. Micromanaging and favoritism are very prevalent.
