Pros

Company luncheon every end of the month and donuts and bagel Friday’s

Cons

I worked in the office for 4 years. Require you to work 10 hours or more, flights are more important then their employees. They exploit their warehouse dept the worst. Office is also taken advantage of, when they notice great employees and others quit they do not replenish the team members they just give you more work load for nothing extra no raise nothing it’s just expected. Expect to work past your breaks, their time frame is more important then anything. Management is a joke, they assume you are happy to work to death for them cause you need them instead them helping you. High turnover cause they don’t know how to treat people right. Required to work every single holiday, at that point just work in retail, they literally have you sign a waiver to not request holiday like how terrible is that for an office environment. It’s extremely shady that they took down their previous profile, I’m guessing from all the bad reviews they received. I know this cause I reviewed them I came back to check if they had improved as a company but no they started a new one and deleted the old profile. How shady is that!

Thank you for your four years of service with us. We are a 24/7 operation and due to the nature of the perishable business, we do require employees to work overtime during peak seasons. Upon hire, the requirement for overtime is thoroughly communicated in writing, as we strive to be as transparent as possible to the demands of our industry. Although paid holidays are not a federal or state requirement, the company does offer a holiday program consisting of 8 paid holidays. Again, as most of our facilities are 24/7, an employee may have to work on a company designated holiday depending on the needs of the department of which they work for. Hourly employees that do work on a company designated holiday are compensated accordingly as they are paid overtime for any hours worked on that day in addition to 8 hours at their regular rate of pay, while salaried employees are offered a floating holiday. As part of the holiday program, there is no such requirement for employees to sign a document or waiver that would not allow them to request holidays off. Although it is unfortunate that to service our customers we are required to be open 365 days a year, it is the reality of our industry. That being said, employees have the option to request to have a holiday off with their supervisor, assuming they are normally scheduled to work on that day which would be subject to approval. We are extremely proud that our turnover numbers have declined significantly since 2018 as we have implemented our training program, formal on-boarding of new employees and our CARE initiative. We value all of our employees for their contribution in our success as a company. CFI also complies with all wage and hour ordinances. Due to Glassdoor terms and conditions, CFI would not be able to remove or alter our public company profile. Workplace transparency is part of Glassdoor’s mission and relevant laws allow Glassdoor to publically host our profile. You can find more information regarding this subject in the Legal FAQs section of Glassdoor.

Pros

Great place to learn the freight forwarding business.

Cons

Management makes too many promises and very short on delivery. Takes advantages of employees through corrercive and manipulative tactics; failure to comply is used against you in performance reviews. Pay raises are a joke; they thrive on keeping employees working at or near poverty level wages. Many employees are out of here once they find a better paying job with organizations that treat them better.
