Cons
The business culture in China is somewhat toxic where senior management of the branches have absolutely no intention to face the elephant in the room. Every decision including downsizing is highly politicalized. Zero transparency in the downsizing decision making process. Business is highly discouraged and any bottom up ideas are being seen as a threat to the current branch management rather than an opportunity to grow. No raises and no raises prospect and employees do not know what needs to be done to have the promotion. Instead the branch management seem to keen to bring in those lack of experiences so they could manipulate in an easier way. Clients walk away cuz of the branches are gradually off the market as no one is bothered to voice out what differences can be made to make the bank relevant, as it only brings in trouble instead of award.
