Pros

-Most rigorous and comprehensive training I've received at any company - felt like I got a Masters in Energy, which was critical to my success/confidence with this work -Never set up to fail - only put in situations where I felt sure I would do well, and always well supported by the team and management -Truly made to feel that this was my company as well -Company truly cares about its employees, sees them as whole people with whole lives -Truly work-hard/play-hard environment -The challenging, ever-changing nature of the natural gas and electricity market in California makes for very engaging work -Clients really love CE - getting to work face-to-face with incredible customers a real plus -Seen as trusted advisors in the energy market - a rare and valuable position -Able to help with costs that are usually viewed as "uncontrollable" -Tight-knit crew of salespeople able to laugh and joke while simultaneously working incredibly hard -Promote from within -Hard work does not go unnoticed, which feels great -Open-door policy from all managers -Customer-centric approach - new products and services often driven by customer desire/need -Excellent coaching, teaching, and advice from peers and management. People are in their roles because they are great at them -My voice always was heard and I felt it always mattered -Small, well-structured, well-run company - security for its employees knowing they are part of a company who manages risk well -Dynamic, challenging, rewarding

Cons

-Work/life balance can be challenging as there is never a shortage of work to get done -Very conservative office environment (men in suits and ties and shaved beards) -limited PTO -lots of time spent in office -long work days -white male-dominated industry - would be great to see more women and people of color!
