Poor management - Anonymous employee Comact Employee Review

Manager come from within the company and are, for most of them, people that had very good technical skills. They however have no managing experience and/or skills. Most if not all managers are from within the company and have no other experience than Comact and are from the inner circle of the General Manager. When a project is assigned to you, the is no clear definition of the scope of work to be done. You discover what you have to do as you go and most of the time, the amount of work is largely under estimated. Minimal communication/feedback with/from the manager. Lack of structure and some employees that have been there for a long time do whatever they wan't. Very conservative and not very opened to new ideas.
