Pros

I worked in Colvin for one year. In the beginning, I was super enthusiastic about working there, but the unhealthy environment made me change my mind. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. If you want to cut your teeth and are ready to sacrifice a lot, it can be a very useful experience, which will allow you to grow and be ready for other better opportunities. Personally, I left because I was burned out and underpaid. - Nice products. - You're allowed to make mistakes and learn fast, so it is good for first experiences. - Great teams, inspiring people, good connections. - Challenging goals every month, week, or day. No time to be bored. - They encourage you to be creative, independent, and a problem-solver. - Remote work from everywhere.

Cons

- Low pay. - "Flexible hours" mean that you will work extra hours (basically every day) and on weekends if they asked you to, especially during campaigns or high seasons. If you refuse to do so because it is not in your contract or simply because they will never pay you back for all the extra efforts, they'll probably accuse you of not caring enough about the company. - If you work on bank holidays or weekends, they will give you an extra day of vacation, but "bonuses" do not exist. Do not expect to be rewarded with finances, promotions, or vouchers of any kind, instead, you will get a shout-out from someone on Slack for your "hard work". - No onboarding exists: in the first period of your time in Colvin you are left by yourself and in chaos. If you are lucky, a member of your team will help you figure out how everything works and how actually you should do your job, for example where to find documents, essential information, and people you need to proceed with your tasks. - HRs ignore employees' needs, just as most senior managers do. I raised my hand several times to address problems and stressful situations, which were never resolved. It just seems that CEOs pretend to care about their workers, while they affirm that they are "family". - Lack of organization, a lot of changes at the last minute without thinking about employees' hard work. I decided to quit as what I was doing was not what I was told my position was about, communication between teams is terrible and the way they exploit your capacities is demotivating. The motto "You are your own boss" means that you will continue to have more and more responsibilities over time, only without being repaid in a serious way. I am glad for the experience because I learned a lot and met amazing people on my team, but I was completely exhausted after just one year. I guess that “burn-out” is the reason why during my time there I assisted a lot of people quitting their positions.
