Pros

Full Ownership: You’re trusted to take charge of your work and make real decisions. If you’re someone who wants to see things through from start to finish, this is the place. Direct Communication: Communication here is refreshingly straightforward. People don’t waste time on fluff, and it makes getting things done way easier. Flexible Hours: You get the freedom to work in the way that suits you. This isn’t a 9-to-5 kind of place – as long as you’re getting things done, you set your own schedule. Except of meetings of course lol. Solid Product-Market Fit: The business is actually onto something here. It’s motivating to work on something that’s got traction and makes a difference. Modern Tech: You’ll be working with great tech. The stack is current and functional, which makes it so much better for getting work done effectively. Constant Learning: There’s a steady stream of new projects and challenges, so you’re always picking up new skills or exploring fresh ideas. It’s never boring here. No Micromanagement: You won’t have someone breathing down your neck. People here trust you to get your work done, which is a big plus if you like to work independently. Empathetic Culture: They genuinely care about people here. You feel the support, and it’s clear that the company values everyone’s well-being.

Cons

Distributed Team Challenges: With people spread across different time zones, it does take some extra effort to keep communication smooth and stay on the same page. You’ll need to be proactive and willing to go the extra mile to stay connected.

Pros

Collectly is a group of really talented people working on cutting-edge AI for healthcare payments. The learning and growth here is collaborative in the best way—management genuinely wants to hear your questions and ideas, and there's zero stigma around raising your hand when you need help. The "we're in this together" vibe is real, and there's this fearless energy around solving problems. People work smart here, and the work-life balance actually exists (not just lip service).

Cons

We're a startup, so not everything is figured out or locked down yet. Processes are still being built, systems are evolving, and things can change. If you need everything to be perfectly structured and predictable, this probably isn't the place for you. You've got to be comfortable rolling with change and bringing your own creativity to help figure things out.

Pros

Somewhat flexible schedules, like others have said.

Cons

Expectations from eng leadership are never clear, however it is always clear that engineering teams are not meeting expectations. There’s conflicting directives to move very fast but also push out high quality code with a low tolerance for few bugs. Engineering leadership micromanages projects and treats any new ideas or thoughts about changing processes as dumb. Poor onboarding process which required me to travel to California for two weeks for some reason, even though no one on my team works in that office.
