Pros

I like the people here and the opportunities I'm given to improve my skills. I think I've been put in a lot of situations where I have been able to take a stab at things and try them out, which has made me more confident in how I can contribute and how I can help the team.

Cons

I think we're lacking some hours on the web side and the design side. I see both Chet and JG always very busy, and I think we need to get them some help. GraphicZoo is too hard to keep up with, and we don't like a lot of their content (except for a small handful of clients) - I think it would be better to use that money for a contractor to help design ads and other design materials. We also need help on the web side - maybe that's transferring over more sites to Bionic and getting the contractor for development, but we are often behind on those tasks.

Pros

One of the things I value most about working with Collective Alternative is the incredible team culture we’ve built. Being part of a supportive, woman-led company where collaboration across departments is not only encouraged but essential makes every day fulfilling. I love that we get to make a real difference for small businesses while helping them grow through personalized strategies and watching their success unfold is incredibly rewarding. There’s also a creative freedom here that allows us to think outside the box and truly innovate for each client. We have all helped each grown so much professionally, and I take great pride in being apart of this, team that is passionate, driven, and genuinely invested in both our clients and each other.

Cons

I think Collective Alternative can continue to grow stronger by fostering a deeper sense of teamwork and support across all departments. Sometimes, it feels like people are trying to carry the entire load on their own, which can lead to burnout. Encouraging a culture where it’s okay to ask for help and where helping each other is the norm, would make a big difference. We all need to remember that there’s no “I” in team, and that we’re more successful when we lean on each other’s strengths. I’d also love to see more cross-training opportunities so team members can better understand each other’s roles, step in when needed, and feel more connected to the bigger picture. That kind of collaboration can lead to more efficiency, less stress, and a stronger, more unified team overall.
