Pros

Many employees were talented, hardworking, creative, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about the brands, the work, and each other. The company also offered solid corporate benefits, including parental leave, and the opportunity to work on established skincare brands.

Cons

CP Skin Health recently went through a major round of layoffs that impacted around 40 employees, including many long-tenured team members with deep brand knowledge, institutional expertise, and years of experience. This was not a minor restructuring — it was a significant blow to the company and to the teams that helped build and support the brands. There was no transparency leading up to the layoffs, and employees were given no real indication that changes of this scale were coming. Over half of the core team members were let go abruptly, leaving many employees questioning the company’s direction, leadership’s decision-making, and whether the value of internal talent is truly recognized. The lack of clear communication made the process feel confusing and unsettling. Company-wide communication after the layoffs felt overly corporate and vague. Leadership referenced broader long-term plans and strategic initiatives, but did not provide clear, practical answers about what the restructuring means for employees, teams, workload, or the future of the brands. Morale is very low, especially with the current office environment and ongoing uncertainty. There is a noticeable disconnect between leadership decisions and how employees are actually feeling day to day. Losing so many experienced people at once has affected trust, stability, and confidence in the future of the company. I would caution anyone considering a role here to ask detailed questions about job security, leadership transparency, team structure, workload expectations, office culture, and how recent restructuring has affected the company. Proceed with caution.

Pros

Good fringe benefits. Above average insurance.

Cons

Very toxic work environment. Company promotes work life balance however meetings are scheduled during lunch and at 5:00pm. People are made to stand in daily plant meetings, no chairs in the rooms. Particularly hard on shop floor staff who work 12hr shifts. I NEVER had time to take a lunch hour the entire time I worked there. Phone calls at home daily/nightly(middle of the night) and almost every day every weekend as OTLs are poorly trained. Company promotes inclusion however Americans are bullied particularly by hispanics within the company. Company touts multiculturalism but does no training on dealing with other cultures. Entire plant Planning staff turned over in less than 2 years. Very stressful work environment cause by high-school like drama by LT. Managers are routinely put in PEP for issues months after they occur. No support whatsoever from Planning manager, HR or Leadership Team. Training is ALL online, when asked LT for help with SAP questions...response was to GOOGLE it. Direct manager was initially a STA with major inflated sense of self. Final manager was novice at managing people and very childish. Again, very toxic work environment overall.
