Pros

Occasional Pizza lunch and a soda dispenser in the kitchen are about the only benefits to working at this dumpster fire of a company.

Cons

The company is so poorly run/organized that I witnessed the WRONG employee being terminated. It was only after the employee was found crying in the break room that the mistake was sorted out and the correct employee notified. I have witnessed (more then once) managers and executives yelling at employees like they are children in front of peers for things that weren't even part of the employees job descriptions or responsibilities. Bullying is rampant within the company. One of my yearly reviews consisted of nothing but being asked whether or not my boss should fire another long term employee because they were "on the fence about it". You will get pulled into "casual" meetings to discuss your personal life. They will be disguised as friendly, informal sit-downs. Be aware these are not for your benefit and what you say will be shared Overall this company is a typical toxic work environment where they say one thing to employees, but mean another. You will be micromanaged and judged while being told you are valued and appreciated.

Pros

Benefits and the job itself is easy.

Cons

Absolutely zero, and I mean zero, skills when it comes to communication. The worst at coordination of people and equipment for jobs I’ve seen in multiple stops in the oilfield. One coordinator is so terrible at his job that it’s a running joke among field ops yet he remains at his position. They will lie to you requiring you to buy a truck promising to pay you for the use of the vehicle and then turn around and fly you to a location where they seem happier giving that money to a rental car company. “Technology” is in the company’s name and yet they are still operating from an Excel ‘95 spreadsheet and getting unreadable itemized paper field tickets signed like the oilfield of 20 years ago. You’ll also rarely show up and find the proper supplies and tools needed for the job. Of course, if you had your vehicle that they promised to pay you mileage for, you would have your needed supplies with you. Management pushes the field techs to sell like it’s an MLM and yet the sales department itself doesn’t sell anything and fails to recognize that their customer isn’t at the field level, it’s at the operational level. Frankly nobody on a Frac pad really cares about Cold Bore as they are just a luxury for the office. They fraced before Cold Bore and they frac without them so Cold Bore isn’t integral or necessary for well completions. Not to mention they are nothing but a 3rd party headache for the Frac Company being nothing more than an inconvenient nuisance as well as in the way. I would give Cold Bore negative stars if possible. Stay away!
