Pros

Working at Cognizant provided invaluable experience in a dynamic, global environment. I gained exposure to large-scale, international projects, enhancing my skills in cutting-edge technologies like cloud computing and data analytics. The collaborative culture allowed me to work with diverse teams, while strong leadership and mentorship helped develop my management abilities. Cognizant’s focus on innovation and a client-centric approach sharpened my problem-solving skills and ability to deliver tailored solutions, all within an Agile framework that emphasized adaptability and efficiency.

Cons

While my time at Cognizant was largely positive, there were some challenges. The fast-paced environment and high client demands sometimes led to long working hours and tight deadlines. Additionally, as part of a large organization, navigating bureaucracy and multiple layers of approval occasionally slowed down decision-making processes. Despite these challenges, they provided valuable lessons in time management, adaptability, and maintaining focus under pressure.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
