Pros

Good exposure to global SAP SD projects, which helps in building strong functional knowledge early in the career. Supportive teammates and collaborative environment in most projects, with chances to learn from senior consultants. Decent job security and stable client base, especially for long‑term support engagements. Access to internal trainings and learning platforms for SAP and related technologies, useful if you are self‑driven.

Cons

Work‑life balance can be challenging during critical releases or when project staffing is lean. Onsite/role progression and salary hikes can be slow and heavily dependent on project and manager. Bench management and project allocation are not always transparent, which can impact learning and morale. Limited hands‑on exposure to latest S/4HANA features in some accounts that still run on older SAP versions.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
