Pros

Food quality is good, each store is independently owned so owners are decent, some shifts not too bad (depends on neighbourhood though). Also some stuff still freshly made and baked in stores (muffins, croissants, sandwiches).

Cons

HQ really pushing for the franchises to promote new products (sandwiches, etc) without taking the time to hear what the franchises have to say, doesn't care what the market is in the store area (why would you offer an expensive sandwich in a not so well off area? guaranteed very few sales in that department). Upper management does not listen! They think they know everything. They come in, push you around, and moves onto the next store without addressing your concerns.

Pros

Pretty flexible with scheduling and lax on rules. They let you accept tips when the corporate reps aren't around.

Cons

All females who work here are treated like nothing more than eye candy and potential hook ups for the owner, the district manager behaved the same way, I can only assume the higher up do as well. We were told we would receive benefits and room for promotions neither happened. Also god help you if you take salary because they expect 60 to 70 hour weeks for what comes out to about 5 an hour to run the store.
