Pros

The firm is a good place to gain exposure to a broad range of projects and problems facing a large pharma companies. Being a small firm you have direct interactions with internal partners and clients. Experience can set you up for a good career industry or a larger consultancy. With this in mind, it is a great place to join out of school for real world experience. The partners would likely agree as they make good money from your work.

Cons

At this point the firm is really just a place to gain exposure and experience rather than a place to make a career. The company is top heavy with three founding partners and two long time employees which account for 25-35% of headcount. There is not much ability to become a partner evidence by the two long term employees who likely have put in 10-15yrs of service. Partners have a hard time making decisions and usually don’t make a decision by default because of this. The company client base is small with 90%+ of work being from one large Pharma company. Pay is average, and is often a struggle to get more than a 2-3% raise despite exceeding expectations. Medical benefits are not that great, no dental, no FSA, and they contribute to your 401k but not usually until 9 months after the previous year.
