Pros

Structured Curriculum Offers a step-by-step coding path (white to black belt) that builds progressively in difficulty and skill. Gamified Learning Uses game development (e.g., Minecraft, Roblox) to keep kids engaged and make learning fun. In-Person Social Environment Kids interact with peers in a dojo-like setting, promoting collaboration and communication. Real Programming Languages Students eventually learn JavaScript, Python, and Lua—not just drag-and-drop tools. Franchise Availability Locations across many cities make it widely accessible for families seeking extracurricular coding education.

Cons

Cost Can Be High Monthly memberships can range from $150–$250+, which may be expensive for some families. Quality Varies by Location Since it’s a franchise, instructor quality and student experience can differ depending on local ownership. Limited Advanced Content While great for beginners, it may lack depth for more advanced learners who need serious project-based or algorithmic challenges.

Pros

This is a decent first job that offers paid training where you can learn game dev through programming languages like JavaScript, C#, Lua, and Python. The work environment is pretty fun and relaxed as well.

Cons

It is a small space, so your experience really depends on the management. There is also a lack of diversity gender wise, so just be aware of that if you are a woman.
