Pros

I was offered a nice base salary.

Cons

Customer base provided to call on was old. Customers I called on were not necessarily interested in labels. I left a lot of voice message and sent a lot of email.

Coast Label Response

We have never had a Telemarketer position at Coast Label. Obviously if they described the position as such means that there was an unfortunate disconnect between expectations and reality. That's not good for either side. At the end of the day, sales people--which this individual was--have to send emails and leave voice messages. Communication is part of the job. Nevertheless we are sorry that this didn't work out. Hopefully they found a position more suited for them.

Pros

My time here at Coast Label has been really enjoyable and beneficial. Everyone here is friendly, and more than willing to help. Because it is a smaller company, you get to be exposed to more than just your specific area of work. Personally, I have learned so much in my time here, and everyday offers a new opportunity.

Cons

If you are looking for a giant corporation, this might not be the best fit. Attention to detail is also very important, so lack of precision may lead to issues.

Pros

Stable family business. Because of this, there feels like there is more of a chance to impact and influence work at the company Commitment to the future. They've made recent investments in new capital equipment. This signals that the company appears to be committed to staying relevant in the industry. Good work/life balance. There are no weekend emergencies in the label industry :-)

Cons

Not for people who want to be part of a large corporate machine (with the benefits and negatives that come with that). Not for people who don't value attention to detail. If someone isn't detailed oriented, they tend not to last long given the culture and type of work done here.
