Pros
There are a number of bright new minds coming in to our team every month. I work with some genuinely wonderful people.
Cons
There is a strong disconnect between the quality of our deliverables and the direction that sets our direction. We have developers on our team that have tasks assigned to them that they are unable to complete due to policy, and there is a culture of preventing communication or prohibiting criticism or redress of difficulties in doing our jobs. Essentially, we're fired if we speak up, and we're fired if we're not performing, and there's a steady stream of contractors that almost keeps up with the churn. Nobody on our team has met with their direct report in over a month, and there haven't been one-on-one's scheduled in the last year.
