Pros

The people. Everyone gets very close, like in most Stockholm Syndrome situations. Diverse workforce at the worker-bee level

Cons

The bank is run like IBM in the 80s with narcissistic, old, white men at the helm. Management is by fear and intimidation. Who even knew companies were run like that still. All of the technology is clunky and outdated, built by contractors who have long since left as well as any employee who might've known how a system works. Middle management is so scared of losing their jobs, they are completely ineffective except at sowing discord among teams by passing blame back and forth. I urge you, if you have any other option, do not ruin your career and skill set. The latest bingo buzzword is "psychological safety." With layoffs of truly high-performing employees who actually do the work, while the management level continues to grow and get even more top-heavy, there is no such thing.
