Pros

Product has a ton of potential. The office is nice. The head of sales has the employees best interest. And I truly believe management wants the best for their employees.

Cons

The culture at cludo is something I have never experienced before and it is just BAD. The people are not welcoming like they seem to think they are. Everyone is entitled. Departments do not get along. Communication and sharing your input is not recommended. Management knows what they want and they do not want help achieving that.. like they seem to think. Management does a great job at making Cludo seem like the best place to work and this could not be more off. I dont think a single person is happy and not looking for a different job. Also the office is just QUIET. You could hear a pin drop 50 feet away. And sales is the largest department. Everyone hides away in rooms so they don't get criticized for doing their job. The on boarding training is average at best and they do not take feedback well. Yes, they have happy hours and events but the entire experience is like a highschool gathering. Fake and everyone is drinking heavily to avoid conversation. At the end of the day everyone is out for themselves.

The feedback you shared is being taken seriously in regards to our people not being welcoming. We believe that every employee has an opportunity to impact our culture is a positive way and request employees who face challenges to come to me, People Experience or their direct supervisor with feedback and/or improvements. I’m proud to share our employees started a handful of office initiatives, including an inclusive fitness group over the lunch hour in the U.S., playing music throughout the day for those that don’t wear their air pods and an upcoming teamwork scavenger hunt event through Cludo Cares. In addition, we recently moved our teams to sit closer together for more collaboration across departments. As you mentioned, the management team wants the best for their employees and we will continue to do just that! -Philip

Pros

The changes that have been made in the past 18 months have really accelerated Cludo both from an organizational and product perspective! New leadership team is very engaged, and engaging all levels of the organization, not micromanagey at all very caring. Very open environment, I feel comfortable candidly approaching our highest level executives with concerns or recommendations.

Cons

Cludo's in scale up mode so, if you are not comfortable with quickly switching priorities or running small experiments to test, validate and change direction this may seem fast paced. Cludo's a smaller organization so, upward mobility at the moment is a little constricted but, I don't see this being the case for much longer with all the momentum that has been gained

What a thoughtful and detailed review of your time so far at Cludo! I really appreciate that. It is nice to hear that some of the recent changes have made a positive impact, not only with our product, but also the culture around things like openness, executive presence, etc. I can confidently say that many enjoy these aspects of Cludo and we want to see those not only continue, but improve over time. Speaking of improving, I enjoyed reading your honest feedback about our pace as a company and career mobility, at least currently. We are currently working on how to help every Cludian grow and, when the time comes, would love to hear your feedback on that approach. If you want to provide more feedback/context, please let your manager know.

Pros

The people at Cludo are amazing and super talented. I always felt welcomed, cared about, and heard. The pay was decent and it was always an open conversation to discuss it, even if a raise wasn't given. There was a healthy amount of investing in the people there, especially related to benefits offered. Transparency around most things was extremely high, with leadership always being open to questions, even those that might be hard to answer.

Cons

There is a noticeable shift towards a mindset that I think may do more harm than good, which is profit at all costs. I believe this comes from the top, where a return on investment is expected soon, and trickles down. Based on my experience and hearing from others, this is causing higher levels of stress, anxiety, and lack of security. The company has moved from a growth mindset to a cost cutting mindset, and I don't see that being a long-term solution. Either need an influx of cash flow, or a change of strategy. Sometimes, to make money you need to spend it first. Also, the cowardice in how terminations are being handled is dragging things down immensely. Very abrupt announcements, with little information shared, especially to the person actually leaving, is breaking trust. People are on edge and I foresee this continuing, which is unfortunate.

We appreciate you sharing your perspectives. Each employee situation is unique of course, and as a fast-growing business - financially and in terms of developing our team - we sometimes need to make tough choices. As we continue hiring and growing, we’ll continue to apply what we learn to make this a great place to grow, learn, and work together.
