Pros
Very fun work environment- lots of entertaining customers and friendly employees. The job itself is simple but that is about all it has going for it.
Cons
The management at this establishment is almost laughable. Extreme disorganization leads to very little flexibility and high confusion for employees. From onboarding, it is clear how little trust exists between employer and employee, from constantly changing codes and locked doors to cameras that cover the entire premise including employee-only areas. Another negative is the lack of professionalism exhibited by supervisors. Other employees and I received a handful of condescending text messages. Ironically many of these complaints and messages were the direct result of disorganization and poor communication between the two managers. Another example of lacking professionalism is the frequent practice of one manager, in particular, telling customers there is "no manager available" and instead taking a message. Their inability to handle conflict in an honest and appropriate manner is difficult to witness. It is also very telling that despite only working there for 5 months I was one of their oldest employees. On a personal level, before applying there I had heard alarming stories from two acquaintances both of whom had previously worked at Club24. Since I consider myself a very non-confrontational individual I decided that despite questionable leadership I would still find this position manageable. Unfortunately, that was not at all the case and I struggled to find this job worth the minimum wage salary.
