Pros

I joined Clippings because I had the ambition of changing an entire industry, and after meeting with both founders I realised Clippings and the founders' mindset was the right fit for me. The company itself is on a very exciting journey, and is on the right path for 'disrupting' an entire industry. It's gone from 30 employees to 100 employees in one year. The staff comes from all over the world, and every single one seems excited for the mission at hand. I also believe theres a genuine attitude in the office, that everyone cares about each other. In short - its a very nice place to go to work every day. The founders ambitions are sky-high, but without this mentality there is no way we'd succeed. They're sitting amongst us (when not travelling) and are easily approachable. In general there is lots to learn from both individuals and the compliment each other perfectly.

Cons

Working in such a fast growing start up can bring a level of dysfunction in processes etc. We struggle with some of our internal processes, but we're tackling them in a professional way.

Pros

With Clippings' startup nature, you can have a lot of impact due to its flat hierarchy. You can easily speak with the founders and any other members of the leadership team. There is a lot of trust in your work from management which is great, and freedom to develop skills, although these need to be self motivated. Working hours are flexible, as long as you do your work and work hard. Team lunches twice a week, and once or twice a month, a chef comes in and cooks amazing lunches. Colleagues are very friendly and nice people.

Cons

There has been inconsistencies in how employees are treated. There are no all around "rules". This can lead to some employees feeling like they are treated unfairly when they see that others are receiving privileges that other's aren't. Not many team events in terms of culture. Although this is now improving now that we have a Head of People.
