Pros

The company is fully remote.

Cons

Complete and total lack of transparency from the top down. Before the first round of layoffs, the C-suite was silent. There were no company wide meetings to update on progress in 2023 until the layoff in April. They hid that they were failing for months on end. They claimed they would become more transparent and then continued to hide information on the company’s position. Total lack of transparency around salaries as well. There are no paybands available from HR. I worked in a position where someone with less experience made over 40k more than me. No explanation could be given on that one. So I just had to accept it as normal and in the payband that did not exist. Round 2 of layoffs hit and they let go of 28% of the company. With no engineers left who will maintain the tech part of the insuretech? PTO was changed from unlimited to 20 days. Snack boxes were changed to a lesser quality company and then fully taken away. The perks just continue to drop off as the company falls apart.

Pros

Fully Remote Flexibility Great team members

Cons

When I first started, everything was wonderful. Snack boxes, unlimited PTO and flex Fridays. With growth, things changed, but, working there was still wonderful. In the last year, work became unbearable. I watched my peers leave 1 by 1 and each of them left for other roles, not because they were ready to go, but because they were forced out by a leader who lacked the ability to appreciate the front line employees and created a new definition for micromanaging. Removing the flexibility for adjusters and creating a call center like environment. Belittling the work done by employees. The worst part is that not only did I give my honest opinion about the reason for my leave, others did as well. Nothing has been done. What you read about Clearcover Claims is true. When interviewing with them, make sure you question the culture and hold the interviewer accountable for the answers.
