Cons
- While the company is extremely well-versed in BI, it is a novice in web development, leading management to often take a BI consultancy approach to all web and mobile projects. There is a huge difference and it shows. - Dev, sales, and management really struggle to communicate scope and requirements. This leads to pervasive scope creep, impossible deadlines and a near daily feeling of extreme frustration and hopelessness that can be interspersed with weeks of little to no activity. - You are nothing but billable hours to Operations. If I had a euro for every time they asked me about man hours whenever I approached them with a critical issue, I wouldn't need to work ever again. - Some of the clients are very powerful people that are convinced that money solves everything and who aren't used to being told no. Having to deal with their endless scope creep, extremely complex security networks, and inflexible demands wears you down after a while. - You work as a consultant, billed at an hourly rate to clients. It can easily feel like your value is measured in hours, not what you create.
