Pros
- Leadership is smart, positive and really cares about the team.
- There are some very talented and fun people to work with, and the company has a very friendly, tight-knit vibe to it. A lot of expats means there's a lot of friendships forming within.
- It's very comfortable place to work with. You can generally set your own hours, work at your own pace and have a high degree of freedom with your choices all around.
- The product is exciting to work with, and it's pretty common to see the product you work with around in offices and apartments. You can't help but feel a sense of pride in it!
- Legendary team trips and activities, such as winter sports, summer outings and a lot of sponsored activities. The company always picks up the beer tab, and they're not picky about it!
Cons
- Company has a hard time letting go of toxic employees due to their history and long tenure. This makes for some pretty frustrating moments.
- The culture of the parent company seems to be leaking into the previously friendly, tight-knit start-up culture.
- Making employees pay for the groceries for sandwich lunches is... odd. Such an inexpensive investment carries such a heavy symbolism.
