Leadership (if you desire to call it that) consists of narcissistic pawns masquerading as knights and bishops. You will be excepted to create magic out of thin air, regardless if you have the proper tools. Great for self-starters! Simply don't grow wise and ask questions as to why processes are done poorly and incorrectly and you will have an endless mountain of work (including work outside the scope in which you were hired).
I've not being hyperbolic, sarcastic, facetious or whatever have you — I've witnessed eight people within a short 11-month period of time resign or get fired from their position, plus one person be overwhelmed with stress, they took medical leave. Are they all poor hires? Perhaps. But maybe it's this: at what number of resignations do we stop to think, "Maybe people are quitting their bosses? Perhaps it's the fault of something at the top of the food chain?"
Which, speaking of food chains, all roads lead back to the man writing the checks, in my opinion.
Truly a remarkable story behind the CEO, although he has unfortunately surrounded himself by 'yes-men'. As a result, this decades-old company is ran like a startup stressed for cash looking for investors.
All and all, if you've got bills to pay and mouths to feed, a few nights at Classic Home won't hurt. That new-hire buzz will quickly fade away; before you know it, you'll be longing for your escape, I promise you.
