Pros

Fair pay, nice offices, opportunity to work in a well known company that boosts your resume

Cons

I didn’t fully realize how unhealthy my work experience was until I left the company. On the surface, everything seems polished and promising. You’re told that the organization is invested in your success and professional growth, but my experience was very different. I was expected to deliver exceptional results without receiving adequate onboarding, training, or the tools needed to succeed. Instead of being coached through challenges, I often felt criticized over minor issues that had little impact on actual performance or business results. The constant emphasis on small mistakes created an environment where I always felt like I was underperforming, regardless of how hard I worked. My perspective was rarely considered. Rather than encouraging collaboration or open discussion, there was an expectation to follow instructions without question. I was frequently compared to employees who had been with the company for years, despite being much newer, which made it difficult to feel that my own efforts were recognized or valued. The culture often felt more focused on blame than support. Recognition for hard work was scarce, while criticism was common. There was also a strong expectation to be in the office and work beyond regular hours, even when it didn’t seem necessary. Another concern was the tendency to encourage employees to simply copy the way certain individuals worked because they were viewed as role models, rather than evaluating whether those approaches were actually effective. Overall, I found the workplace to be highly bureaucratic, with a culture that placed a heavy emphasis on hierarchy and deference to senior leadership. Unfortunately, it wasn’t an environment where I felt supported, respected, or set up for success. While others may have different experiences, mine left me feeling undervalued and ultimately reinforced the importance of working in a culture that values constructive feedback, proper onboarding, and mutual respect.

Pros

-Interesting projects -Exposure within the industry

Cons

-Almost every review I’ve seen everyone says over worked. They say it’s the industry but Clark is known in the construction world for that. Working 12 hours in the field in normal and expected. - they favor certain people and make them little mentees under long term employees. Those people are then given a gold star. -Departments who you think would care about their people ( HR and Communications do not) -become so woke yet don’t actually react -Make the new vacation policy look like a benefit but it’s actually less time and keeps them from having to pay out if you leave - take pride in “safety” but expect you to drive to work in a snowstorm because they cleared the parking lot. The amount of people that were amazed at that email is insane.
