low pay no remote job only on site no flexibility

Small team, hands on problem solving, and you never had to play games to get things done. I had the benefits of being close enough to the CEO that I could understand their concerns, and close enough to the ground that I could get feedback from the people that were using our tools.

Not overly fond of extended remote work.
