      Just to clarify, I am not an employee of CMP. I am a outside contractor that has worked with this company for approx. 10 years. I can honestly say that in all that time, I have never had any experiences with CMP other than extremely positive ones! All of their employees are friendly and professional. Most of them have been with the company for years and years which says something very good about them. I was shocked to read the above comments regarding the COO. In ten years we have had nothing but the highest regard for him as well as the entire management staff. They treat us with the utmost respect. CMP is a wonderful place to work!

      Pros

      Average start pay for similar jobs in the area. Benefits offered include dental, vision, medical through BCBS of AL. Compensation for travel and office supplies offered.

      Cons

      There was an offer for 401k after 1 year employment when I first got hired on but this has not been offered since. The medical benefits for single, no dependents, has gone up each year since I have been here, while other tiers have decreased. This is not an hourly wage that is sustainable for the housing market in the area. You can't trust anyone you work with, everyone here is someone's relative or friend, and there's a huge buddy system that has caused the company to falter and caused a toxic atmosphere to work in.
