      Pros

      No matter how stressful your day is, you understand what you're doing is for the greater good. Everyone is in it together, and wants to make sure you succeed, because when you do, the whole org does. When work life/ home life start to mix, it's hard to be upset because you are working toward a greater good. The work space is beautiful and huge and located very close to transit.

      Cons

      Some people are a little sectioned off from what's going on. The atmosphere is quiet and not super friendly all of the time.

      Pros

      This would have been a great job but I was unable to relocate to the Bay area, so I could not keep it.

      Cons

      Location. Downtown Berkeley to Downtown Oakland, not much better, still high rent areas.

      Pros

      Work with some of the smartest, hardest-working people in the social change sector. Not just the core CEL staff, but the client organizations are full of amazing folks working to make the world a better place. Individuals are motivated and know their stuff.

      Cons

      Hard to get management to decide on "big picture" decisions. Constant battle to prioritize work between short and long term. Understaffed for the number of clients. Reality doesn't always match rhetoric.
