If you are going to be in IT Hardware Sales having the "Cisco Stamp" on your resume is a door opener if you can make 3 years over target.
Cons
It is an extremely political environment where promotions and opportunity are based upon who you know. Middle management is focussed on one thing only, getting their next promotion. To be successful in the field sales organization it is not enough to crush your number, you must spend more than half your time beating your chest about how great your methodology is... There is zero work / life balance. You are expected to be connected 24/7. The compensation is continually being driven down. The days of "big money" at Cisco are over.
